Alba Veneer Pendant – braided white ash

Alba is a modern design, manufactured by beautiful sustainable and natural materials. A classic product, inspired by the fifties furniture architecture, with an instinctive understanding of form and materials.

The lamp is braided like the traditional Danish Christmas hearts, and consists of 7 veneer rings, nested in each other.

The double veneer gives it springiness and shape thereby giving the sculptural lamp both fill as well as a function as a light sculpture. The round opening in the bottom creates a concentrated light over the table.  Both the natural openings of the construction along with the translucency of the material, creates a nice, intimate atmosphere in the entire room, and it will function as a natural gathering point.

Alba is handmade and delivered already assembled. It is fitted with a clear round cord and a canopy to hide the assembly near the ceiling. The surface is treated with lye, white vaseline oil and is subsequently sanded down.

Cleaning is carried out by vacuuming with a soft brush, or wiping with a dampened cloth. An annual treatment with white vaseline oil prolongs the beautiful surface of the veneer.
